MBTI ?
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a psychological assessment designed to measure how people perceive the world and make decisions. Developed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers, it is based on the conceptual theory proposed by Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung.
The MBTI categorizes individuals into one of 16 personality types based on their preferences across four dichotomies (opposite pairs).
The Four Dichotomies
Your MBTI type is a four-letter code (e.g., INTJ, ESFP) made up of your dominant preference in each of these four categories:
| Category | Focus | The Two Preferences |
| Energy | How you direct and receive your energy. | (E) Extraversion: Outward focus, energized by people and action. (I) Introversion: Inward focus, energized by reflection and solitude. |
| Information | How you take in and process information. | (S) Sensing: Focuses on concrete facts, details, and present realities. (N) Intuition: Focuses on patterns, meanings, and future possibilities. |
| Decisions | How you make choices and form conclusions. | (T) Thinking: Prioritizes objective logic, consistency, and principles. (F) Feeling: Prioritizes empathy, harmony, and impact on people. |
| Lifestyle | How you approach the outside world and structure your life. | (J) Judging: Prefers structure, planning, and settled decisions. (P) Perceiving: Prefers flexibility, spontaneity, and keeping options open. |
